Who are we?

Safe With Us Animal Rescue is a registered, nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue located in Massachusetts.

Our Organization

Safe With Us Animal Rescue was founded in 2017 (formerly Patra’s Pitty Project) with a small team of volunteers who had shared goals of rescuing dogs in need. We expanded to adding cats into our rescue efforts in 2020, and have also rescued the occasional rabbit, hedgehog, and a few mice- yes you read that correctly! The mission has been the same over the years- to fight for the voiceless, advocate for the broken, and save as many lives as possible.

Fast forward to today, and we can proudly say that we have impacted over 1850 dogs and cats from South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Louisiana, and in our own backyards right here in Massachusetts.

Our mission doesn’t stop at saving as many lives as possible. We also work to support our community by educating the importance of rescue and proper animal care. When disaster has struck Louisiana and South Carolina, we have also supported disaster response missions to help where needed.

SWUAR is 100% foster-based and run only by an amazing group of volunteers who want to make a difference in an animal’s life. We operate on the generous donations of our supporters and our adopters.
