Meet Eleanor!
Eleanor is an 8 year old domestic short hair gal. She is approximately 15 pounds.
What can we say about Eleanor? Well, to start, she doesn't have all of her teeth. A nasty infection hit her pretty fast and we had to remove some of them. But this girl has her appetite back and is 100% healed.
She also has some kidney issues, but we got that worked out. She has been stable, despite despising her prescription food and tricking her fosters into thinking she would eat it. Nope. Not for this girl.
Eleanor is a lady who commands herself as the queen of the house. She does everything her way, and that's it. But what's great about her, is that she can be a wonderful companion. She's not a fan of sharing her home with other cats, but would likely do okay with a dog in the home if they left her alone.
This girl has gone through a lot of changes in her short life, and while she's handled them with grace, it does make her question who she can trust- she will hide if she is nervous. But once you're in her good graces, she will happily join you on the couch to watch your favorite show.
Eleanor has gotten all of her medical ailments fixed/stabilized and is now looking for her forever home. She deserves a home where she can be herself, that isn't too busy, and with a Mom or Dad who will enjoy her company as the main fur pal in the home.

Adoptable Pets
Eleanor
Luna
Meet Luna – The Three-Legged Wonder Pup!
At just under 2 years old, Luna has already shown what true resilience (and ridiculous cuteness) looks like.
This English Pointer mix may be missing a front leg, but don’t tell her that—she zooms around like she’s got four and keeps everyone on their toes!
Luna had a rough start in life, found tied up with a broken leg that sadly had to be amputated. But since her rescue, she’s been living her best life—full of love, play, and plenty of goofball energy. She’s besties with her foster sister Chelsea, following her everywhere and learning how to be the perfect pup!
She’s totally housebroken, crate-trained (just while you're out), and a pro at cuddles on the couch. Luna loves her humans, gets along great with other dogs and kids, and while she hasn’t met a cat yet, she’s open to negotiations. Just watch out for the occasional slipper theft—she’s got a mischievous streak and a big heart.
Earlier this year, a fundraiser helped get Luna a custom brace and a prosthetic for added mobility. She’s still warming up to her new gear, but with time and the right person, she’ll be unstoppable.
Luna is pure joy, wrapped in a wiggly, three-legged package. She’s the perfect mix of silly and sweet, and she’s ready to bring laughter and love to her forever home.
Pepperflake and Rino (Bonded Pair)
Meet Pepperflake and Rino!!
Pepperflake is the beautiful tabby and Rino is the handsome black kitty.
This bonded pair are your typical kittens- they love to explore, climb, and play! They took a couple days to settle in when they arrived to foster but now that they are comfy, they are showing their true kitten personalities!
Pepperflake is more curious, and loves to check out all the happenings in the house. She is a confident lady, who is a social little butterfly.
Rino is more reserved, and is perfectly content being on his own, or with his sister. He does enjoy spending time on the couch watching the action.
They currently are fostered with cat-savvy canine friends and they love to watch them, They have each even gotten kisses from them! So it is safe to say that they would be okay in a home with cat-savvy dogs.
These two adorable pals are ready for their new home! If you are interested in adopting this pair, please email us at info@safewithusanimalrescue.org!
Pixie, Rosy and Barnacle
Meet Pixie (Black), Rosy (Tabby), and Barnacle (Tabby)!
We know, we know, adopting three kittens may be a lot to take on, but this trio is a special bunch and we would LOVE for them to be adopted together. They are approximately 5-6 months old, altered, and up to date on their vetting. Here is a little bit about each of them:
"Pixie (female) is a very sweet and playful little lady. While she is the shyest of the trio, she comes out of her shell more and more each day. She does seek affection and attention but is shy about it. She follows her siblings to get attention from us (her fosters). She doesn't love being picked up but loves pets and play. Her favorite toys are the the wand and her tunnel. She also loves a scratcher!"
"Rosy is also super sweet kitten. She likes affection and cuddles from us (her fosters). She will sleep on top of you at night but not in your arms. She loves toys to carry around- so those are a must! She is very playful with her humans and siblings and is happy playing with both!"
"Barnacle is the boy kitten of the trio. He is also very sweet! He likes affection and cuddles from us and is also very playful both with his humans and his siblings. He will sleep in your arms at night if you let him. He is definitely the bravest of the three and warmed up to us the quickest. Would love him to go with his sisters or home with other cats. I think he’ll be lonely otherwise."
If you are interested in adopting this trio, or Rosy/Pixie or just Barnacle, please send us an email to info@safewithusanimalrescue.org!
Delaney
Meet Delaney – Your New Best Friend! ?
Delaney is a gorgeous 1 year old sweetheart currently soaking up love in a foster home here in central Mass. Weighing in at about 70’ lbs, she’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and easygoing companion.
? Loyal and Loving
Delaney is truly devoted to her people. Once she knows you, she loves you wholeheartedly — she’ll follow you around, snuggle up beside you, and shower you with affection. She can be a little shy when meeting new faces, but with just a bit of patience and kindness, she warms up quickly and becomes the sweetest companion.
? Dog-Loving Social Butterfly
One of Delaney’s absolute favorite things is spending time with other dogs. She loves to run, romp, and play chase with her foster fur siblings. Whether it’s zoomies in the yard or playful wrestling, she thrives in the company of canine companions. She’d be thrilled to join a home with a doggy playmate to keep her busy and happy.
? Cat-Friendly
She does great with cats, mostly ignoring them and respecting their space.
? House-Trained Pro
No accidents here! Delaney will politely let you know when she needs to go outside.
? Leash Learner
She’s working on her leash manners — still a bit of a puller — but making great progress.
? Crate Queen
Say “crate,” and she’ll happily trot right in. She enjoys her crate time, but also loves being around her people.
? Gentle Soul
Delaney has been waiting patiently for her forever family, and both of her foster families have fallen completely in love with her. We know her future family will, too.

Reya
Meet Reya!!
This little lady and her brothers were surrendered to rescue as an unwanted litter. Reya is now 5 months old and spayed and up to date on her vaccines.
Reya is a playful and loving foster puppy with the sweetest heart. She might be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll melt into your arms with cuddles and tail wags. Reya is a quick learner who loves to please—she’s already picking up on her basic commands and is crate trained. She loves her toys and chew bones and also loves playing with her doggie and cats friends.
She still isn’t too sure about walking on leash so will need some help with that. With a little patience and a lot of love, Reya will blossom into the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ever ask for. She has been exposed to dogs of all ages and sizes. Reya is fine with cats, fine with chickens and horses too! This kiddo is now just waiting for someone to pick her to be a forever part of their family, is that person you?

Ralphie
Meet Baby Ralphie!
Ralphie is one of an unwanted litter of three that were surrendered to Dog4U needing full vetting (vaccines, boosters, chip, spay/neuter, preventions, deworming etc). Ralphie is about 5 months old and neutered.
Ralphie is a lovable pup you can’t help but give all the belly rubs to. He is very food motivated and loves playing with other dogs. It’s fun to watch him get the zoomies with his foster sister.
Did you want a boy dog that loves you unconditionally? Cause Ralphie is it. He protects you from the big bad toilet monster and will cuddle into you at night. His little snores are like a peaceful sound machine. He will sit next to you wherever you are if you are his person.
Ralphie doesn’t love being separated from you, but we have been working on making him feel more secure in the crate. Dog TV and soothing music helps him and eventually he will settle.
He is a power chewer! He will need plenty of choices to entertain him!
He is mostly potty trained, but still has some room for improvement. We do frequent breaks every two hours but he can usually hold it overnight.
Ralphie has been exposed to horses, chickens and cats. His foster sister taught him about chasing cats.
Ralphie is good with baths and loves getting a coconut oil rub down after. He likes to lick his paws after.
Ralphie has been around children (4, 10, 13, 15 & 17) and does well even with the 4 year old. Just be slow to introduce them and let him acclimate and he will be good- he is a puppy still!
Ralphie will make a great dog to a great home. Ours will be sad to have him leave but know his forever family is waiting.
If you are interested in adopting adorable Ralphie, please email us at info@safewithusanimalrescue.org or follow the link to fill out an adoption application: https://www.safewithusanimalrescue.org/adoption-form/
Cane
You’re probably wondering about my name — Cane.
It’s not just cute. It’s because I was found all by myself in a Louisiana sugar cane field. Yep… I came from the sweet stuff, and I’ve been bringing sugar and spice ever since ?!
About me I’m most definitely a water hose warrior. Certified cuddle monster. Part-time piranha. Full-time good boy (most of the time that is )..
Okay, listen… I might whine in my kennel for the first 5–10 minutes, but I promise I settle down quick. I just have a lot of opinions and zero patience. But once I chill? I’m a cozy, snuggly, floppy little lap dog. Like, professional-level cuddles.
Now let’s talk hobbies:
? My #1 passion? CHASING THE WATER HOSE.
You spray it, I’m on it. It’s personal.
I’m still learning big things like potty training (doing pretty good though!) and not using people’s fingers as chew toys. I call it “attention nibbling,” but my foster mom says I’m being a tiny land shark. Oops.
I can be kinda shy and skittish at first, but I warm up — especially if you’re a kid. I seem to trust them faster than grownups. Just give me a few days to settle in and I’ll be your shadow. And if you have other animals? EVEN BETTER. I love furry siblings.
So yeah, I’m a work in progress. But I’m sweet, silly, and trying my best. If you’ve got snacks, snuggles, and maybe a water hose, we might be soulmates. ?
Cane is ready to head north and be with his forever home for the holidays! If you are interested in this adorable pal, head over to website, www.safewithusanimalrescue.org to fill out an application!!
Sugar
Meet Sugar — the sweetest girl to ever come out of a sugar field!
Found abandoned in a sugar field with mange and missing fur, this resilient little mutt has blossomed into a happy, healthy, oh-so-adorable 5-month-old puppy who’s ready for her forever home. Her name fits her perfectly—Sugar is as sweet as they come!
She’s got that classic playful puppy energy, but she’s also a world-class snuggler who loves to curl up next to any warm body—human or dog sibling. Sugar plays hard, naps harder, and gives her whole heart to the people around her.
She’s working on her potty training and does her best to make it to the door… sometimes her excitement gets ahead of her, but she’s clearly trying! With patient humans (and maybe a few more treats), she’ll get it down in no time.
Sugar sleeps beautifully in her kennel, considers it her dining room (food magically appears there, after all), and can comfortably stay crated for up to 8 hours with zero accidents.
Like any young pup, she still has some manners to learn—but her loving personality, eagerness to please, and resilient spirit make her an incredible companion in the making.
She gets along with all dogs, loves kids of every age, and has never met a human she didn’t adore.
If you’re looking for a little sweetness in your life, Sugar is ready to melt right into your family. ??
