As a volunteer with Safe With Us Animal Rescue, I understand that some roles may involve direct contact with dogs of various ages, breeds, energy levels, and behaviors. I acknowledge that working with rescue animals carries inherent risks, including the possibility of bodily injury or damage to personal property.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with volunteering and agree to release Safe With Us Animal Rescue, along with its employees, volunteers, managers, directors, and owners, from any and all liability related to my participation.

I understand that as a volunteer, I represent Safe With Us Animal Rescue in the community. I agree to conduct myself in a respectful and professional manner at all times. I acknowledge that unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of my volunteer role.

By signing this agreement, I confirm that I have read, understood, and accept the terms outlined above.

I, the undersigned, wish to participate as a volunteer with Safe With Us Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization. I understand that volunteer activities may involve direct or indirect contact with live animals and participation in various events or duties. These may include, but are not limited to:

● Transporting animals
● Conducting behavioral evaluations
● Facilitating meet-and-greets with potential fosters or adopters
● Providing medical care
● Fostering animals
● Walking or temporarily caring for animals
● Performing home visits (with or without animals)
● Processing applications and entering data
● Assisting at adoption or fundraising events

I acknowledge that while Safe With Us Animal Rescue represents each animal’s temperament to the best of its knowledge, animals can be unpredictable. I understand that board members, volunteers, foster families, and affiliates are not responsible for the behavior, reactions, or actions of any animal in any situation — even if alleged to be caused or contributed to by the negligence of Safe With Us Animal Rescue or its representatives.

I recognize the inherent risks involved in working with rescue animals, including the potential for bodily injury, emotional distress, or property damage. I agree to follow all safety protocols and handle animals at my own risk. I also understand that participation in volunteer activities and events is entirely voluntary and done at my own risk.

By signing this waiver, I voluntarily release and hold harmless Safe With Us Animal Rescue, its board members, volunteers, foster families, and affiliates from any and all liability, expenses, damages, losses, or costs — including attorney’s fees — arising from any claim related to my volunteer service, whether due to negligence, willful action, or recklessness.

I further agree that no other person, including but not limited to a spouse, family member, friend, or fellow volunteer, will hold Safe With Us Animal Rescue liable for any injury, accident, or loss — including death — resulting from my participation.
