How do I adopt a pet?

The first step for adopting a pet with Safe With Us Animal Rescue is as easy as filling out the adoption application form. We'll reach out to you! Please remember, we're an all volunteer-run organization, so it may take us more than a day or two - but we promise we'll be in touch!

Our applications to adopt dogs and cats have increased drastically since the COVID 19 pandemic. We are also growing as a rescue and are saving more and more animals every month! We ask for your patience as our amazing adoption coordinators process your applications.

What's Next?

Once you apply to adopt, we will perform reference checks, then reach out to schedule a home visit. We thank you for your understanding as we work very hard to move forward with this process as quickly as possible.

Are there any adoption requirements?

At this time we can only adopt to MA, NH and CT residents.

How to avoid picking the wrong pet?

Our goal is to match these animals with a home that fits their temperament, size and breed, energy level, and any restrictions each animal may have. Each animal is an individual case and some have special circumstances. For example, one dog may require going to a home with a fully fenced-in yard or another dog may require experience with that particular breed.

The first step towards adopting your new pet is to fill out our Adoptions Form. You must live in MA, NH or CT to adopt with us at this time. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization and ask for your understanding as we may take more than a couple days to process your applications.
