Meet Pearl!! She is a 1-2 year old shepherd/husky/mixed breed girl.

Pearl was found as a stray in Louisiana by our shelter partner. She was brought in to their rescue in May, but no one came for her. She had a different rescue committed to take her but unfortunately they were not able to and cancelled her transport. This means that this sweet girl now is facing her time being up due to overcrowding. This shelter has not had to euthanize for space in years and sadly now it is not safe to be at the capacity they are. They reached out for help and we could not try to step in.

Pearl is good with dogs and people alike. She is timid and shy at first, likely because she was on her own and had to survive in a scary world. Because of this she does need slow introductions to dogs but once she knows she can trust them, she is ready to go. She has been tested with kids and did well.

Pearl needs a committed foster or adopter in New England so that we can get her up here and open up some space in the southern shelter.
