Meet Oliver! He is a 2-year-old, neutered, chihuahua mix, weighing in at around 11lbs, who is looking for his forever home. Oliver has been in a foster home that is also a trainer, so he has been working hard on gaining confidence and meeting new people and dogs. Here is what his foster has to say:

“Oliver is a spitfire once he gets comfortable. He may show hesitancy, at first and most recently has met several people doing work at the house. He was hesitant but did not bark or lunge. When greeting respectful dogs, he excels. He does well with leash walking with minimal reactivity and more wanting to see dogs now these days. He has made a complete turnaround in his social aspect with other dogs. He is a full-on social butterfly and not fearful with other dogs anymore. He is the pack joker, gangster and all out tease! There is no temperament too much or too little for little Oliver. With this progress in dog world and human land, it leads me to believe that he is ready to make his leap into his new home and make even more progress.”

Because Oliver can be a feisty little one, we recommend a home with older children. His future adopter can’t let this boy’s goofy ways sway them from continuing his training and confidence- he will need consistency in his future home.
